In Minnesota there are cab-drivers (liscensed by the state) that refuse to carry customers because they are carrying alcohol (un-opened) or a using a seeing-eye dog, based on their religion. Is it the passangers who cannot get a ride, or the taxi cab drivers whose civil are not being protected?

not only that, but MUSLIM workers at targets stores are complaining about handling pig and alcohol products. but for liberals, this is ok, or else it would be "racist", in their words.

What business it is of the cab drivers what someone has in a bag. If they were trying to bring a live pig on board that's one thing, but if they are searching passengers personal carry on's then I would say the passengers are being violated.

Taxi Drivers are part of a government regulated industry. Since public transportation is "PUBLIC" the drivers have no right to refuse transportation to anyone who does not pose a risk to them or others - someone who is out to commit violence. A guide dog, someone with a bag containing alcohol, etc. is no risk thus the driver should have his government license to operate a taxi revoked and fined for civil rights violations if the refuse transportation to a blind person or others needing some type of guide dog.

The cab drivers are private businessfolk, and can choose (or refuse) to do business with anyone they want.

Constitutional protections apply to state (govt) action. And just being licensed by the state does not make them state agents.

The people who are getting cab rides are suffering more. But nobody wants to say anything about it because they all want to be PC and not offend the Muslims. It seems we have renounce our free speech and civil liberties to not wanting to accept potential terrorists. I don't live in Minnesota but if I go there and get a cab and I'm carrying alcohol in my hands, that driver better just suck it up. If he complains, I'll get in the car and let's see if he can get me out.

No one's. Business people have the right to refuse service to others. People taking cabs do not have the "right" to take any cab they want. The cab drivers should keep in mind they may be losing business in the future to people they would have given rides to simply because people think they (the drivers) are @$$holes.

Unless these are government owned taxi's, then nobody's civil rights are being violated. Businesses are allowed to refuse service to anyone. The drunks are probably out of luck, but the blind people are certainly able to sue for damages due to discrimination.
