i have a 360 and a wii both are good systems but all i play is gears of war.

It depends upon what kind of video game player you are.
If you're a casual game player, I'd recommend the Wii. It's fun to just pick up a controller and play, especially if you have friends and family that will play with you. Many of their games are bright and colorful. I was also surprised how much effort it takes to play Wii games. After playing a while, you can find yourself exhausted!
If you're a serious gamer, the Xbox 360 has some great first-person shooters. Many of the 360 are rated M and very intense. Games like Gears of War and Oblivion are fantastic...but not for small children.
If you're not sure, the PS3 is for you. Although their game catalog is still growing, Sony does a good job of having a well-rounded game list for all kinds of gamers. The PS3 is almost the price of a 360 and Wii combined, so money could be an issue for some people.
Of course, I'm speaking in generalities. There are exceptions to the above, but each console seems to be targeting a specific audience. I think it's the game catalog that makes or breaks a system, so look at the games each system has rather than the consoles' technical specs.

Each system has its own advantages and disadvantages. the Playstation 3 has only a small amount of games to buy at this time but will have a lot of capabilities such as blue ray. the X-Box 360 is my personal favorite. it has been out for a while and it has a ton of games for buying. unfortunately, it mainly appeals to younger audiences. The Wii seems to be the best system IF YOU WANT A FAMILY SYSTEM. this appeals to all age groups. Unfortunately, the Wii is harder to find than a water powered car in the Sahara Desert.

It depends on what you want.
If you're a big fan of shooter games, sports games, racing, or need great graphics, go with the XBox 360. If you don't like having money, and want something that'll break in a few years, get a PS3. If you like innovative design, action games, oldschool games or minigames, go with the Wii.
As for my comments on the PS3... I'm sure there will be some good games exclusively for it, but most games that were going to be exclusive changed their mind when they saw the sales. Also, PSX, PS2 & PSP have all had more hardware trouble returns than the XBOX, GameCube, Gameboy Advance or Nintendo DS, and I see that as a probable pattern. I know of no specific hardware flaws on the PS3 as of yet, I'm merely projecting based on their earlier systems.

BUT in all honesty i ended up getting an xbox 360 cos the graphics are literaly just as good and the ps3
1) hasn't been released
2) Needs a hd tv ( alot o' money )
3) doesn't have the kick *** online gaming and 20gb storage that the xbox 360 has
Oh and btw the nintendo wii is in a completely different league to the xbox 360 and ps3

For me, the best system would be the Playstation 3, because of it's features. But if you like guns, I would go with the Wii.
And the XBox 360 I dont recommend it.

No one can truly answer your question because it's specific to your needs.
PS3 - Best looking games, plays great, looks great
XBOX 360 - great looking games, has advantage of faster multiplayer.
Wii - Best system where multiple people can play and don't have to be an expert gamer.

Do you know how many times people have asked this question? (clue:alot) Personally I prefer 360 its powerful and has good exclsives but isn't too expensive.
