The problem is: Find an arrangement of centimeter cubes that has a smaller volume but a greater surface area than the object in #1. Make a sketch and find the volume and surface area of your object.

The Surface area in #1 is 24 square centimeters and the volume is 8 square centimeters.

What are the dementions? Length, Height, and Width please!

Here's a hint: any arrangement of x centimeter cubes will have a volume of x, but the surface area will change when you rearrange them. You'll get the smallest possible surface area with a cube (since you can't make a sphere out of cubes) and the largest with a 1 by x rectangle.
