My first question would be, are you buying them from the same pet store? Secondly, what kind of fish are they housed with? Cold water, tropicals, salt water or brackish?
I is difficult to say since mollies are hearty fish and can tolorate a wide range of water spectriums.
Feel free toemail me and I will try to help.

Well it kind of depends. When we had fish we got mollies because they reproduce like there's no tomorrow. The only problem we had was that they get a skin disease called ick. You just put some medicine in the water and they're fine. You may want to see if you have some fish that are aggressive or semi aggressive that could be killing them.

Well, I just had 2 mollies die, 1 black and 1 silver, there was no reason for death they seemed healty just an hour before they died. All my other fish were fine. I don't know whet the reason is. Maybe there just fragile.

We need more information about your tank, water parameters, and tankmates. Mollies can be kept as freshwater or saltwater fish, so perhaps they were kept in brackish water at the store and didn't acclimate well to your freshwater tank.

Mollies are prone to white spot - its obvious ont he black ones and is easily treated. I have the opposite problem to you, my black ones seem more robust than the coloured varieties.
