It does seem to be. Humans have danced from the earliest tribal hunter-gatherer days. It seems to be this primal drive within us that must be expressed. Perhaps that is why it was outlawed by the puritans.

I would say yes.
I don't know of any culture that does not dance in some fashion. Most cultures have music and dancing at the heart of social events.

Absolutly, when it comes from within. There is always learned behaviour, but the root of it is.
