They are Criminals and should be treated as any other criminal... Tried, convicted and jailed.
The seriousness and result of their lies however would demand the death penalty. 4000 dead Americans... 100s of Ks dead Iraqis.

"We all know now that Bush was conspring to start a war."
Do we really all know that? Or do you think that in that short-busser head of yours?
"Should the Senate inteligence committee have seen through Bush's lies and stopped the Pro War vote???"
Bush got his intel from the CIA and FBI, so they share some blame too. Don't pretend like we've had a top-notch intelligence system, because we haven't. Bush, Congress, the FBI and the CIA all share blame for this mess we are in. It's not just one man.

Well, every country in the world had that same NIE. It also had the same information on it. I can guarantee you it wouldn't have mattered who was the president (Dem or Rep). Based off of the information, we would have ended up over there anyways. Besides, who cares what the reasons are for going over there. That was 4 years ago. We can't change the past. The thing we should worry about now is the fact that we are there and need a solution to win this thing so our soldiers can come home.

We don't all know about the conspiracy. Maybe because the truth is the Democrats have an equal number of members on the Senate and House Intelligence Committees and get to see the EXACT same data as the White House.
Then they report to their respective membership what they believe to be true and they vote.
No lie then, but sure are a bunch of whoppers now. My favorite? "Bush Lied, People Died"
People did die, people I knew in the WTC.

Well Bush is a great liar. He has had a lifetime of practice. After awhile it comes easy for him. He can be convincing, obviously.
Maybe this will explain it
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequenses of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State".
Josef Goebels, Nazi Germany's Minister of Propaganda 1933-1945
Think about it. Iraq a big lie got us there. Bush and buddies try to squelch any opposition (fired attorneys, Joe Wilson, and others) and remember Dumbya's grandpa did business with Nazi Germany. Could there have been lessons passed down? Even if no lessons the uncanny resemblence to Herr Gobels statements and the behavior of the Bush Administration is interesting if not frightening.

Congress. Period.
Only Congress has the authority to issue the Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF). Why Congress passed that law is irrelevant. Congress approved the AUMF.
