I used to live in Maryland. There's the occasional tornado and depending how close you live to the coast, there's the chance of a hurricane either on the Atlantic or even up through the Chesapeake Bay.

yes, but theyre not that common. our last major hurricane was isabel in 03 or 04, usually its just the remains of the storm, sometimes a tropical storm. and we get tornadoes, but theyre usually not very strong, maybe 3-5 a year.
