No...that's just more of a sticker everyone likes to put on us...Myself? Rebel? No, but smart ***, yes. Aha.

Well, I have a 15 year old daughter and she isn't rebellious at all. So, I would have to say that one can be a teenager and not be a rebellious one.
Now that being said, perhaps I have not given her anything with which to feel the need to rebel. That is an all together different question.
No matter how much cra-p you think someone is tossing your way, just try not to be rude, break the law, hurt yourself or anyone in the process of your "rebellion" (Expressed opposition) and try to grow from the challenges around you rather than choosing to be self destructive. This is maturity, not rebellion. :)

Pampered kids tend to be rebellious. I always held my parents in the highest respect because when I said I wanted a car, they said "Good luck finding a job". When I said I wanted to go to the University of Miami, they said "Good luck on that scholarship", etc etc. I got my "reality check" very early in life; realizing that being a rebellious brat would get me fired from my job(s), and then I'd be broke and miserable.
My parents would have always helped me if I absolutely needed it, but they would never tolerate or advocate laziness or irresponsibility. When it was time for work, it was time for work. And I'm so thankful for that. Now I'm an Environmental Chemist with a brutally-awesome beach-house.
Being rebellious benefits no one. I never understood it. I guess kids do it to be "cool"...but all that means nothing once you're out of high school.

No, not all teens are rebellious, but the majority are. Partially because of how society has changed, partially of how our government is more in our households and business, and partially just due to the lack of family connection now a days because of needing two incomes just to survive. Leaves no time for quality parent and child interaction which causes anxiety and rebellion.

No, I don't even know any teens that are rebellious, it's a stereotype that a lot are though. But it's usually the ones with problems at home.

My husband and I were never rebellious as teenagers, neither are our children. We do have siblings though, that were rebellious teenagers and it hurt us to see what that did to our parents.
