I paint or draw a lot of my dreams, fantasy's that i might have, feelings that i want to get out without hurting someones feelings or just without letting them know how i feel, or just looking at a photograph of something and painting that is good too.
really it all depends on the artist and what kind of work they do.

They can come from anything- emotions that person is experiencing, something they witnessed or heard about, events from history or the present, a natural landscape, a book they read. Really, inspiration can come from any source.
The way to start getting inspiration is to observe and study. Look around you and listen to yourself. What is important to you to express? What would you like to create? Inspiration manifests itself anywhere, at anytime.

they have really creative minds. Like me, for example, everytime i feel like drawing, an idea just pops up straight away, and boom! daydreaming just falls like a waterfall all over my paper. ( today's paper had pen drawings of horses, clouds, puppies, sea turtles, fairys, and bla, bla, bla)

what they do is just paint anything and after that they just gonna make up some stories behind it even just a simple dot.
