I don't want to keep wasting money on pregnancy tests b/c I'm testing to early or I'm not pregnant. At what point do you say - okay I think I better take a test now? How late is your period before you'll take a test?

I know, thats the part that sucks. I always buy the two packs and keep a couple under the sink just in case. (I've been ttc for almost a year.) The best thing to do is wait until you're period is about a week to a week and a half late and then go out and buy a test. Good luck on trying!

You can take a test 7-10 days past ovulation. If you're worried about wasting money, try either buying tests in bulk online or going to Dollar Tree. With the Dollar Tree tests, you have to pee in a cup first, but they're cheap and they work!

I wouldn't test until your period is at least a day late. Some women are able to test up to 4-5 days before their period is due, but why put yourself under so much stress if it is negative? That is why I wait until I'm at least 2-3 days late...

Hope that helps!

I hear you! It's hard to know when to test. Wait til you're a good solid 2-3 weeks late. Unless you have mega strong symptoms. You might think about testing if a bunch of people ask you if you're pregnant. Other women around you may notice things that you don't. They will usually say something.

I always wait at least 2 weeks after my missed period before taking a test
If you keep taking tests and hoping and hoping and hoping youre pregnant then it will just be harder on you down the line, trust me.
Look into a condition called PCOS and see if you might have it. Its the number 1 cause of infertility in women

I would wait at least until the day I was suppose to get my period and may even a couple of days after just to see if its just a couple of days late or whatever

I would wait until the day your period is due, or a couple of days after. I am not very patient, and I usually start to test way too early....I can't help it patience is not one of my virtues

generally your best bet is to wait about a week after your missed period to test. that gives you plenty of time to start a delayed period and also gives you plenty of time to produce enough of the hormone to register a positive result on an hpt. good luck i hope everything works out for you!
