I heard that Mac is going to join the competition between the PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360. I heard that the new video game system will be called the iBox.... Is this all true?!?!?!

Its just a rumour at the start of the next gen(360,PS3 and wii)people were speculating on apple joining in after the success of Ipods. It probably is just a rumor since no company would just change the X on Xbox to their trademark I and call it a new product. Apple have said nothing about it and if they are planning a next gen console they're a little late as consoles take years to develop (the succesor to the 360 is already in the works due out 2012).Just before Microsoft joined in on Computer Games there was signs they started buying game development studios for example then they announced the Xbox with Apple there has been no such signs. If there is such a thing as an Ibox (which everyone else is suggesting) its probably an add on for the Ipod not a gaming console I followed MZ dee's hyperlink and nothing in those pictures looked like a gaming console those pictures are probably concept art for an Itune add on as to the Youtube thing anyone could have put that on.
Sorry to disappoint you.

it's not really for gaming. it's more like a tivo. "The iBox plugs into your TV and acts as a hub for your digital devices and computers. Unlike the EyeTV from Elgato, the iBox is a standalone machine, not something to plug into an existing computer. The iBox can be scheduled to record TV, but unlike TiVos it does not serve as a "what's on and when" service rather a hard drive / media based recording device (new aged VCR). With its built in 802.11b & 802.11g from its AirPort Extreme card, one can access the home folders of any user on any wirelessly networked Mac or PC. The iBox has its own version of the popular iPhoto and iTunes software which is a welcoming plus to Mac OS 10 veterans and easy for Windows users to adopt as well"

I personly don't know. I haven't heard anything about it untill now. In my opinion it won't sell well. Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3 would be better than the so called "IBox".
