You usually do not feel the baby moving until you are about 20 weeks gestation (5 months). To me it always felt like a flutter or when you get butterflies in you tummy. It is a remarkable feeling! Now when you are closer to your due date, if you do not feel your baby move at least a few times a day then you need to go to your doctor or emergency room. Congrats on your pregnancy!

I wish I could ease your worries by telling you it's normal, but I'm not sure. What I've heard is that many women don't feel their baby more for the first time until they're about 16, 17, 18, 19, even 20 weeks!! So, maybe what you felt wasn't the baby? Or.. maybe since it's still pretty small it is kicking and it may not be too noticeable. Ask your dr. if you're very worried, but I'd say it's alright, and just look forward to feeling him/her move again! Good luck, hope you have a healthy pregnancy!

Yes, that is perfectly normal. You are actually feeling the baby move pretty early. Most women usually don't feel the baby move until closer to 18 weeks. Right now your baby is very small and has more amniotic fluid to move around in. As your baby grows and has less room, you will feel the baby move more frequently. You will most likely feel the baby move at night when you are lying down. During the day when you are up and moving about, you are actually cradling the baby, which causes them to sleep.

If you are only 16 weeks, I'm surprised you felt the baby to begin with. It's normal to not feel it till about 20 weeks the first time. You won't feel it everyday till about 28 weeks.

Wow you felt it move at 15 weeks? I have read it doesn't start moving until week 18-22. I am 18 weeks and still haven't felt it.

I'm suprised you have felt it move at all, especially if this is your first pregnancy. Most don't feel active movement until about 23-25 weeks
