it is a necessary thing, this experimentation on animals, however, i believe we should do as much testing and research on humans as possible as this is really the only way to get more pertinent results especially from the medical and pharmaceutical fields. also, the further the departure from our dna to the animals the better. for example, chimpanzees and humans share over 98% of our respective dna and therefore should be exempted from most research and used as a last resort only.

I think it's awful. Animals were not put on this earth for our experiments. I can see research for understanding the animal better or for possible medicinal research. But for testing makeups and cleaners or just cruel other things I think its wrong

The animals used in research have saved more human lives than could probably be calculated - probably in the tens to hundreds of millions of people saved.

My opinion is a strict NO. Though there is no law as such there is something called ethics. We are giving them the status of a factory.
Suggestion : Artificially prepared models inclusive of all their characteristics.
Science has given us so much. Is it difficult 4 it to prepare one such model?
