me and my dad had a argument about what music is better.He says bands in the 70's like queen,the eagles,led zeppelin and black sabbath are better rock bands than of our music today...i said no way!!...who is right?

we have a new favorite song every week .. and are tired of it in a month .. that music is still classic today

well i would say that the music of the 70's like queen and zeeplin were better rock bands because it was their actual music meaning it wasn't mass marketed and commercialized by people who just wanted to make a quick buck of a kid who would buy anything the group produces. Groups of the 70's were all for just making music and having fun they didnt care if they were on BET or MTV ...music was their life today all bands care about is getting played on the radio or TRL and how much money they are getting for doing so....P.S. I'm def a fan of bands of today like 3 doors down limp bizkit etc i just think old bands stood for a cause oh yea and I'm only 20 so im not saying this because I'm old lol hope that helps!!!

Well I think that you are both right.. The Eagles and Sabbath are amazing bands. But our music today is great, too- like Madina Lake and Saosin.

Doesn't matter to me. I was born in the middle of the 80's. I like everything from the 70's back and the 90's forward. I hate music from the 80's.

I think you are both right. Queen are cool but so are bands like Fall Out Boy and Taking Back Sunday are also very cool!

Overall, I'll have to say 60's and 70's rock, although I do like a few modern day bands.

LOL There's no right answer to that question. While most seventies rock was under the influence of drugs, and was about politics and things that concerned people back then, our music today is mostly about bad relationships and tends to be less "of the people" if you know what I mean. But when it comes to the music, it's all according to taste.

I think you are both right. I think both of you have to expand you horizon and listen to all kinds of things. I like the 70's you mentioned, and is comparibal to groups of today that realy matter like Korn, Tool, Mudvien, Hatebreed, and the disemberests

i nthe 70's it was all obout the music like the guitar and stuff but today it's all about the band and how they dress so i think that the 70's won
