I hadn't actually given this much thought while watching, but seeing the question, it does strike me that this year's livery seems to be much more of the older Ferrari red than the more Orange tinted Malboro inspired red they've used through most of the Schumacher years.

It's about the same, but they took out the white and with Vodafone not being a sponsor any longer, they went back to a true Ferrari red. It could have been the white that threw you off from before, but it's almost the same. It's just part of the rebirth of Ferrari with all of the changes they have endured. Either way, I love em'!

nicely, being prepared on Renault, i ought to assert that the recent livery grow to be stunning in the previous each and every thing (vast factors of the automobile being painted white). yet once you look at it into perspective, the different bits can stability the factor of the automobile. besides the actuality that that's no longer extremely as exceptionally because of the fact the blue and yellow of ultimate 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, I ought to assert it nevertheless seems sturdy. fantastically whilst utilized to a layout as aggressive because of the fact the between the R27. there's a asserting that states loud and sparkling (in Latin)... "De gustibus non est disputandum". which ability tastes are to no longer be mocked approximately. Or, as some say, splendor is in the attention of the beholder. besides the shown fact that that's ridiculous that some people think of that a automobile will lose because of the fact of its livery.

I honestly don't know but here is an interesting fact.Ferrari discovered that when you watched their car on television it appeared to be a slightly different red. This is something to do with distortion of the colour when it is captured by the TV cameras and then displayed on your telly. So they actually altered the true colour of the car to make it appear a better red on the TV.
Given that this is the case I think it unlikely they are now going to change the red and undo all that hard work.

Yes, the new Ferrari is a darker hue of red with a bar code to represent the Marlboro brand. It is not a direct advertisement but a name association. They did change the color of red though. Read F1-live.com. They will give you the most up to date info on things like that.

No, it is not a different hue.
The thing that makes it seem different is that you are probably used to seeing the wings in white and now they are predominantly scarlet like the rest of the car.

This year's Ferrari F2007 is definitely redder than last year's. This is partly due to the arrival of Alice, departure of Vodafone and the ban on tobacco advertising. I hope you'll understand this answer and what the arrivals/departures mean.
