The Saudi's aught to be worried. Sunni muslims from Saudi Arabia are bombing Shiite neighborhoods and marketplaces in Iraq. I wonder how many Shiite refuges are going into Saudi Arabia to even the score.

All of that aside, every war see refuges leaving the war zone en masse. No one in their right mind stays in a war zone if they have the means to leave it. Also, where else are the Iraqis who want to leave supposed to go but to neighboring Mideast countries.

Tell you what. Since us "red-staters" are so offensive to you, how about we just quit providing you city slickers with food, groceries, and all the other sundry products that you need to survive. There are plenty of countries around the world that will buy our products without insulting us for where and how we choose to live.

No it isn't offensive. The problem with most political debate is that something like Iraqis emigrating is expected to be proof of just one inference - as if Iraqis are monolithically motivated by the same reason.

I'm not too sure why they are leaving. Maybe now it is because they have the chance to leave, which they didn't under Saddam. Maybe some just don't like American troops. Maybe some just want to escape violence no matter whose troops are in their land. Maybe some want to escape the sectarian violence within their own groups.

Who knows? Your question makes the inference that the only reason every single Iraqi is leaving is because of U.S. presence.

That's not offensive, that's normal war zone behavior. I'd be doing the same thing if it were "in my backyard."

How would it be offensive? I find it expected, their country is a war zone, it is smart for them to flee.
