Many Asians got screwed over, suffering ill treatment for themselves and their families over the past 100 years in the United States. Example being the Japanese internment camps.

Yet, you don't ever hear any complaining or moaning about the past from this culture group. Only achievement and hustle.

Is there something to be studied and learned here?

That's a loaded question, though I do see th point you are trying to make. You cant single out one group of people there though. No progress is made by ANY group when they put out an "Entitled" attitude and refuse to move past it. This applies to not just race groups, but religons as well. I say if it didnt affect YOU or your parents, you have no basis for the "I'm entitled to special treatment" attitude. I've never known a Witch who's mother was burned at the stake, I've never known an indian who was pushed off their land, I've never known a Christian who was fed to a lion, or a black person who was enslaved, yet almost everyone will insist on this behavior at some point in their lives. I myself have been guilty of it.
Another great example beyond the Asians is the Irish americans. The brits forced them into poverty, endentured them, and then when they got here they were treated like less than vermin, but instead of demanding reperations, they got out there and GOT A JOB. Some of them became millionares, because they worked for what they wanted and earned it. I believe wholeheartedly in equality. REAL equality. Where everyone is treated the same. But when people demand equality, what they mean is "I want to be treated as good as you, and then get benefits, because you used to degrade my grandparents' parents. It shouldnt be a give and take. Earn what you eat I say.

Here I am torn...I agree, but have seen also the suffering caused to my native brothers...a reservation is not always an enjoyable place, let me assure you.

I am of mixed race though, and would be up for returning to my scandanavian roots as well. All the best to "Cheya Tanka".

And my viking kin!

Wish you well in your struggle sir...and see the point...faith guide you.

Very true point. I think until recent they have been a great model of how to forgive and forget. I find the merging of the ghetto culture and Japanese society hilarious.
