Valerian works for me pretty well. Get the tincture from your local health food shop.
However, nothing is 100% for all people.
The best thing is to be active in the day and cut caffeine out after 2pm. Don't use your brain after about 9pm and come off the computer an hour before bed!

Warm milk can be very good but I read recently that lettuce actually has a natural sleep inducing agent in it... you have to eat quite a lot ..a "normal" plate full and not add a lot of sugary dressing.
Yoga breathing works for me - breath in through one nostril, out through the other - you have to block off the nostrils alternately with your thumb and finger on one hand to achieve this. Then reverse it - breath in through the other nostril etc....just develop your own pattern.

Nothing is 100%, but when I have insomnia, I use Trader Joe's Bedtime Tea. I've actually passed out halfway through the cup, with the cup in my hand. Tastes nice, too.
