i miscarried dec. 13 at 131/2 weeks. i took a pg test today and it was positive. i was thrilled but when i called my ob they told me that i could still hcg hormones from the m/c. has anyone had any experience with having hcg hormones 3 months after a miscarriage. im really hoping i'm pg but i'm so scared. i will be having blood work next week.

i did have a d/c done so i know that i don't have any left over tissue from that pregnancy.

They could be right. Or not. The best thing is wait until your appt. My brothers wife had a miscarriage in Nov and was for sure pregnant in Feb. So it could be that you are

There are many possibilities due to your hormone levels. You could show positive for as long as 2-6 months. Your body is naturally releasing hormones as we speak. My main question to you would have to be if you had any blood work done after your miscarriage? Did it slowly drop? Did it go to zero?
Worst case scenario you have a small tissue growth in your uterus that will in turn cause positive results. I repeat that is the worst case scenario. Once you get your hcg levels back you should call your primary care facility and let them know whats going on. They will either have you back to re-test later and compare levels, or have you in for an examination of your uterus to check for any abnormal tissue growth. All in all I wouldn't worry, just go through the treatment and await positive results before being rash because if you are pregnant we don't want this stress to any way effect you or your pregnancy.

sweetie I congradulate on you being preg. because some docs dont know sh**... sorry to say but I had a misscarry and two weeks later I had no hcg and yeah you may still have hormones left but not from 3 months ago now I understand if it was a few weeks ago... dont let it get you all messed up. just relax and thnk positive everything will be okay. let me know what happens here is my email Nicole23wa@yahoo.com or if you just want to talk good luck

I don't think it would show up 3 mths after wards I was told the max was maybe up to 6 weeks, I would get a blood test from the doc and a ultra sound but chances are you are, good luck!
