Something as good as ergo proxy, or elfen lied, i've tried watching Jigoku Shoujo Futakomori, and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, but i just can't watch it, i guess i find it a bit boring.

I haven't seen those but try Wolf's Rain, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Samuri Champloo, Trinity Blood, Bleach, Inuyasha, Rouroni Kenshin, Yu-Yu Hakusho, Ghost in the Shell, Spirit Warrior, Witch Hunter Robin. I could probably think of others with some thought but try these for now.

Bleach, Kiba, Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain, Samurai 7, Death Note. All of these interesting stories and good character development.
