Issues number 1 and 2 are out. Go to you local comics shop and see if they have them. The shop I go to over stocked them for the Stephen King fans and still have copies of both issues.
The comic is a prequel to the novels. It follows the Gunslinger as a teenager and how he became the Gunslinger. Marvel Comics worked very closely with Stephen King on the comic and he said he if very happy with them.

The first 2 comic books have been released. It looks like the comic series is going to tell the story chronologically. The first comic book deals with Roland challenging Cort in order to become a gunslinger. The 2nd comic book then has Roland, Alain, and Cuthbert being sent West to Hambry(which is in the novel Dark Tower 4-Wizard And Glass)

I'm not much of a Stephen King fan, and even I liked the comics. Marvel will eventually collect all the comics in paperback form if you want to wait a few months.

The first two are out but most stores are sold out right now. I had to order mine online. Even Amazon was sold out of issue #1 last time I checked. I heard that they are awesome. If you go to marvel.com you can read about the issues and look at some pics. I can't wait to get mine. I am a Dark Tower freak!
PS- DirkJohn- The series was not a trilogy. There are 7 books in the series.

Wow that is information to me. It might be exciting to look the way it interprets to comedian. I loved the sequence, however I STILL have my suspicions Mr. King had an excessively distinctive finishing in brain(Books five-7) earlier than he had his coincidence. The tone and type of t he tale alterations dramatically among Wizard and Glass and The Wolves of Calla, nearly to the factor it kind of feels like 2 distinctive persons wrote it.
