would hot water freeze faster than cold water?

surprisingly yes. thats because the warm water will super cool. it will go below freezing and then go back up to the freezing point. also the warm water will rise and get cool rise and get cool. the cooler water just kind of sits there.

Hot water would freeze faster, only because it evaporates much faster. Hot water in a sealed container would freeze slower.

Paradoxically, hot water (or cool water that was recently boiled) will freeze faster than regular cold water, because it has fewer dissolved gases in it....

no, cold water freezes faster. I did a test to see if it was true and cold water freezes faster.

No.
Hot water has to take time to get down to the temperature of the cold water before it can begin to cool down to the freezing point.
