No difference at all. Making fun of someone for whatever reason is the same as making fun of someone for whatever reason. I'm short, I have a big nose, and I am good at sports. I get made fun of for being short and for having a big nose. I get praised for my athletic ability. The question that should be asked is why people feel the need to make fun of others?

It's not really cool to make fun of people in the first place, but if you really want an answer I have to say that it's worse to make fun of someone for something they cannot change, than it is to make fun of someone for something they can.
