I've already got the Wii. I can't decide. I had one of the original X-Box consoles, and I wasn't that crazy about it, but I'm impressed so far with the 360. And I LOVE my PS2, but there's been so much bad press about the PS3 that I'm not sure what to think. Therefore, I've come to you, Y!Answers gamers, to ask your opinion on these systems.;)

Linda--Uh, what? I already GRADUATED college, so why would I be putting money into the bank for it? And what do video games have to do with employment? It's not like I'm going to put my mad Mario skillz on my resume or anything, and I don't actually know anyone who *does*. . .

I have the 360 and it is great fun it has loads of new features that put it ahead of the PS2 and the XBOX.It has more games, more exclusives(gears of war and halo 3) and cool features such as Live Arcade ,Marketplace ,Achievements and Online multiplayer.
I can honestly tell you that the controller is the best Ive ever used after one day with it I felt more comfortable with it than I was with the PS2's dualshock after 5 years of practice.
I'll admit the PS3 also has its up side its slightly more powerful(after Gears of War graphics cant get much better) its controller has motion sensing(but you have a Wii anyways), blu ray can hold more stuff on it(I have my doubts about developers actually bothering to fill it Elder Scrolls Oblivion is arguably the biggest game ever but you cold fit that on a DVD with room leftover) so the only real advantages are the exclusive games Resistance and Motorstorm are the only decent ones out(easily bettered by Gears of War,Dead Rising,Lost Planet,Project Gotham etc). Metal Gear Solid 4 and Gran Turismo 5 are the only good ones on their way(Im not sure about these but Im confident in Halo 3,Forza 2,Splinter Cell Conviction,Mass Effect,Bioshock,Alan Wake,Fable 2 etc).
I dont really believe that the price is justified Sony have just made a mixture of 360 and Wii and added a fancy new hard drive.

If it was me Id get the 360 you would still have money left over for buying a decent amount of games and even then you'd have some to spare.
By the way how likely is it that $1000 will mysteriously fall into your lap?

I think that if you do not like X-box you will not like 360. I am the same way. I have a PS3 and my buddy has a 360 so I have played them both. I will admit Gears of war, Lost Planet are good games for the 360 and Halo 3 when it comes out other then that I am not impressed with the other games 360 has besides the ones that are coming out that will be on PS3 as well.

I cannot tell you if PS3 or 360 is better because it all comes down to you and what you like and I do not know you. BTW you are very pretty. I think PS could have done a lot better with the PS3 and dose need room to grow but I do have faith in the PS3 and I am happy with it. I would not trade it for a 360

If you do like X-box I would go with that. But if you are like me and Do not really like X-box I would defiantly go with PS3

Any thing more you would like to know about the 2 systems just e-mail me from Y!Answers and I will help the best I can

Good luck in your decision

Have a great Day :)

I have a 360 and I have a friend who owns a PS3.
I would get a 360.
SONY tends to not support their customers very much.
(Look at the PSP.)
Also, the 360 will get a price drop of $100 by Christmas because Microsoft is using a new processor, which is cheaper and uses less power. (So the system will not get as hot.)
A major complaint against the 360 is the noise, and a 3rd party group found that the PS3 is actually slightly louder.

--"YOOH CAN PLAY YOUR MUSIC ON THE PS3"--
The 360 can play Music, even directly from your iPod.
The PS3 does not let you play your own music over games like the 360. The 360 also lets stream music and video from your PC.

--"I want to play f.e.a.r on playstation because of the HD quality over xbox"--

The 360 comes with HD cables, while even with the $600 PS3 you need to pay extra to buy the cables. Also the Resolution of the game is determined by the studio who makes the games, so if a studio doesn't want to take a few extra months to make a game, they might put on another console.

--"Id say xbox, but i had a black xbox and it was junk. Had it for not even 2 months and it would skip, get hot and shut off"--

I've had more issue with my SONY consoles than with any other console.

I'm a huge Nintendo because in '82 neither Playstation or "SUXBOX" were there by my childhood. I will soon get the Wii. I also loved going to my friends house & play PS games for hours like Final Fantasy, fighting games, Resident Evil & many more. I don't really like the "SUXBOX" because I've heard of a rumor that Bill Gates is an atheist*. I never even seen any interesting games on the "SUXBOX" either, apart from the Halo games (which should be the only reason why you would want to buy it). In a nutshell, if it comes from Japan & the Japanese people like it, then it rocks (Nintendo & Sony). But like it so happened when I watched E3 on G4, if they thinks it sucks, IT'S A SUXBOX!! Lol, ok see ya!!

i had the 360 and it spent more time being sent out for repairs than actually being played. and it is LOUD. i bought the ps3 and i couldnt be happier. its a great system. a lot of people are thrown off by the price but its actually worth it. if you bought all extra stuff for the 360, it would cost way more than a ps3, and still not be equal. it is true that the 360 has more games but that is only because the ps3 just came out. the 360 has been out for well over a year. the ps3 is by far the better system.

As of right now I would definitely say 360. More games, cheaper and more accesible than PS3. But if you have patience and feel like waiting around, I think the PS3 will shine by the end of this year, after all the kinks are worked out and they start releasing a plethora of good games. I still have high hopes that the PS3 won't flop, but I still love my 360 with my heart and soul.

I am a playstation fanatic. Its hard for me to choose what i want simply because the best games are coming out for them both. I want to play f.e.a.r on playstation because of the HD quality over xbox that its supposed to have. I want halo 3 for xbox, but final fantasy keeps me glued to the playstation, as well as resident evil. If you had a 1000 dollars, buy them both, if you want to go with the better one, go with playstation and spend the rest on games. Id say xbox, but i had a black xbox and it was junk. Had it for not even 2 months and it would skip, get hot and shut off, and just not come on half the time. Ive had the same chunky playstation 2 since they came out and its NEVER and i mean never failed to play a game. Ive had a gamecube for less than a year and it wont read the memory card correctly half the time. You tend to get pissed when you try to play twilight princess on it and cant load your game half the tme when you have almost 14 hours game time. Stick with sony !

Iwould go with a PS3, it has better applications than the 360. And they already come included. For the 360, you must buy the rest software applications.

PS3 core = 500
Xbox 360 core = 300
altogether = 800
1000 - 800 = 200

Go buy both
