i do not have cable and i babysit a kid whos parents have cox... probably the "demmand" verison or something. i can get the tv to turn on but i cant get any channels... i hit the "tv" button and then the "power" button to turn it on and off. when i do that with the cable button, nothing happens. help please!

You also have to power on the cable box. Hit CABLE button then POWER.

Ask the parents if it is okay for you to watch TV. Then ask them how to work it. If you start pushing a bunch of buttons and mess things up, they probably won't ever hire you again.

Sounds like you need the remote for the TV , so you can push the button that sais "Input" on it.

who knows maybe you should read the kid a book instead of watching tv. or take him outside to play. or draw a picture.
