I really need the answer for a report. I t would be best if you live in Michigan, but if you don't, it's ok, you can still answer.Oh, and what famous landmarks or mountain are there in Michigan?Deserts? Rivers?Annual precipitation? Average temperature?Extreme storms?Major natural disaters? You don't have to answer all the q's, but I would seriously appreciate it. I mean, I don't have Cliff's Notes.

I live in lower Michigan almost 1/2 hour away from ohio, and right now the weather is okay! It hasn't been too warm more of a cold spell, we have had some warm weather about 60's but that is a freak spell.
Now as for Landmarks we have Motown (music Detroit), The Mackinal (not Spelt right) Michigan has the most light houses, we are also called the Greats Lake States because we have five great lakes. HOMES spells out our lakes names (Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Eire, Superior)
Average temperture really depends on the time of the year for the most part we get into the teens when winter comes and about 70's 80's when summer (july August) come. Need to know anything at all email me jakesaum@yahoo.com i would be happy to give you some websites you may find useful

Well I have lived in Michigan all of my life (I'm almost 36) and I hate it b/c of the weather...I'm not a winter person but people that like outdoor winter activities are in the right place. It is great for skiing sledding and snowmobiling.

I see that you know how to use yahoo answers and have internet availablility, so all you really need to do is do some searches and you will get the hard true facts. Try "weather Michigan", "climate Michigan", "landmarks Michigan" and you should get LOTS of good material for your report.

Good luck!

I grew up in Michigan, so I can answer.
Last year, for 4th of July, I went to Mackinac Island (historical landmark) and it was 40 degrees out that night.

When I left for basic training on Jan 9, 1986, it was -50 degrees witht he wind chill factor.

Famous landmarks: Greenfield Village/Henry Ford Museum, Mackinac Island. Mackinac Bridge. Soo Locks at Sault Ste. Marie.

Most natural disasters are toranados.

No deserts, mostly forested with Jack pines and maples. You will find the Sleeping Bear Dunes on the west coast (on Lake Michigan)

Winters are cold but the snow is beautiful. Early Spring is messy and muddy, but middle spring is green and awesome. Summers are moderately warm 80s to 90s mostly. Fall is the best...Football weather is the Bomb in Michigan. Geographically, Rivers throughout...Big Lakes all around...Culture: Big Cities if you're looking for good food and trouble. No earthquakes, No hurricanes, Hardly ever a tornado, and occasional big storm. Most importantly nothing poisonous or anything that can eat you on the land or the water. No Sharks, No Gators, No Grizzlies, No Dessert Rattlers...worst thing we got are pit bulls.
