We have 30 days to pay around 2000. I know we can not come up with this kind of money in the time period allowed. They said they will give one extension, but what if you need more?

The courts are normally very easy to work with when it comes to the collections of fines and court costs.

Your BEST option is to contact the clerk of the courts office where the collection is received. Start making your payments as best you can and ask them about the extensions available. They have the "ear" of the court and will be able to contact the court in an effort to extend the extension.

As long as you show that you are trying your best without dragging your feet....they'll do the best they can to help you!

Best wishes!

Just go to court with all the money u can get and when you get called up just tell them this is all i was able to come up with. Generally the will give u more time to pay or community service

You could check with the clerk and explain your situation and see if they will give you a monthly payment so to speak. Or if you have had an attorney working for your behalf on this see if he can get you thru the court the monthly deal or an extention.

Talk to the judge and tell him the details, they most likely will work with you.
