Torrid has really trendy, up to date clothing for plus size women. Really cute stuff. My sister shops there & loves it! Here is the link of stores in California. Hopefully a mall near you is on the list of stores so you can actually go & look around & try stuff on, cause shopping online can be a pain sometimes, since you don't know how the clothing will actually look on you.

Under $100? Might be challenging.

Macy's has a good selection, and you might find something on sale.

Online, Lane Bryant's stuff is boring (a bunch of black dresses), but you might have better luck if you could get to a store.

I recently discovered Torrid...It's the plus size store for Hot Topic. They have quite a few fun, "young" options, that are quite reasonably priced.

If you're looking for something really formal, you might try the clearance section at David's Bridal...they have quite a few plus size options.

i imagine 16 is exceedingly a lot the traditional snapping aspect between "ordinary" and "plus" sizes. And if you're round this length don't be alarmed once you try on dresses and are informed some insane length #. In shops I positioned on both a 14 or 16 (i'm very busty so how the accurate is shrink makes the version in length for me). after I went wedding ceremony gown figuring out to purchase i replaced right into a minimum of a 20 in each dressmaker i tried (a 22 and 24 in some even!!).

Lane Bryant, DressBarn, and Avenue are all located in Northern California and offer a wide variety of plus-sized clothing.

Dear Plus Size Rose,

I'm a plus sized sista myself.

I shop via the following websites:

In my opinion, Lane Bryant's clothing can look a little matronly. Just because you're plus sized doesn't mean you wanna look like someone's great granny. (lol)

Also, here's a few tips:
(1) Beware of cheap materials. They don't always sit right on our curves. Therefore, you might wanna pay a little more to make sure it's quality.
(2) If you wanna wear premium denim (7 jeans, tru religion, and etc.) , but they don't carry your size in women's, try men's jeans, and get them tailored. They are excellent, and often times they have a more relaxed fit.

Good Luck!

B

P.S. Need more tips,....I'm only an email away.
