Hey, my ears are recently pierced, i was just wondering what type of post-type earring do i put in after the 6 weeks are up?
I got an infection from steel/nickel last time i got them done, and i now have gold in my ears, so i dont want anything that can cause infection.
Thanks.

gold or surgical steel definitely. I find that wearing the cheap earrings you buy from like claire's makes your ears really prone to infection. but the main thing is ALWAYS handle your ears and earrings with clean hands.

I've had my ears pierced 3 times and found for the first 6 months I can only wear surgical steel or gold earrings. I still can only wear Surgical Steel in my first piercing. The other 2 I can wear "cheaper" earrings but not for any length of time.
