Could it be possible that governments grant money to universities, who in turn select data that the media runs with, who help elect politicoes, who give more money to universities' coffers? Or do these humans really care about us all?

I think you've hit on something! I've been saying this all along! If people would go back to the 70's and see the money that was made over the 'we're all going to be entombed in a glacier' scare they would see this for what it is. And Al Gore will use it for all it's worth! You explained one of the ways they do it!

Well every government funded research study is a cash machine - when you put it that way.

With that said, I must say I don't mind the government giving reseach grant money to fund sound research projects.

Is Global Warming a sound science theory that needs to be researched. I would have to say yes. Just for the fact the scientists need to learn about Global Warming and Cooling patterns in ordered to fully understand the world we are all living on.

As for whether Global Warming being sped up by human activity, this is something else the scientists need to learn more about, before the Media runs off at the mouth about it.

I don't have a problem with wanting to know more. What I have a problem with is people thinking they now have all the answers and that we are in for a problem if we continue to have Global Warming. Because we don't have all the answers regarding our planet and most likely we never will.

While there is probably some truth to your theory, I think the real story is people and organizations with a socialist agenda who use global warming as a front to bring down capitalism and western governments. After all, look at what the biggest activists advocate...destructive restrictions on business production, making it almost impossible for any new technologies/research that might in some obscure way hurt the environment to see the light of day, heavy taxes on western governments, while making it hard for third world nations to come into the 21st Century, etc.

It is quite simply a socialist, one-world agenda hiding behind the lies that make up most of global warming theories...Its no more complicated than that.

Follow the money.
Look who is getting rich of it.
Al Gore and his carbon credit company be a good example.

Remember the great holes in the ozone scare.
Well who made a killing of if Dupont who made the alternatives to freon and come to find out they are not too sure that was the problem to begin with.

Univerisities are working to get the next grant so now the grant money is in global warming.
So they give enough out to bait them into more grant money.

The same question can be asked of the"war on Terror".

Two things lead to the REAL truth:

1)Where the money goes.

2)Where the power goes.

A simple, yet RARELY asked, question: Who stands to gain?

Might you be suggesting that universities may only use certain data in order to get more money from the government. No. Duh, of course they do.
