Archer Daniels Midland is the US leader in ethanol production. VeraSun energy is (was?) the second largest in the country. Pacific Ethanol and Aventine Renewable Energy are also on the top of the list.
Internationally, Brazil is a larger producer of Ethanol as a whole than any American company, but with the new Bush Ethanol incentive to be pushed through Congress in the coming years, that will change drastically.

Archer Daniels Midland is country's biggest. There are some other big ones. Verasun was secondly biggest until very very recently (less than a month.)
PacificEthanol is the biggest on the west coast.

This is just for corn based ethanol, which is mainly made in US, because most other counties use sugar based ethanol.

In the US it is probably Archer Daniels Midland. They have the corn monopoly.
