it is cute. it does not cost anything for the chocolate factory in terms of admission. They have a free ride through the process of making chocolate in which they give you free candy at the end of the ride.
the only things that you have to pay for is parking and if you want to go to their movie/show. Other than that, you are able to get through there pretty cheaply
Hersheypark on the other hand is not free admission.

I was to Hershey Chocolate factory several years ago, my son and his wife visited last year with my three year old grand-daughter. They said visit to factory was nice they have an interactive area for the kids.Hershey Park is very well organized and very well kept.I didn't ask my son how much he spent there, but memory tells me they are a bit on the pricey side, you can tell be the rates for the motel. But,as far as cost is concerned all of these entertainment venues are pricey because they don't operate all year round. If you are concerned about costs I suggest you contact PA tourism(Live in NJ!) for some info, Personally my favorite trip to Pa was to PA dutch Country where food and lodging was much more reasonable the scenery is beautiful and when you are immersed in the countryside it seems as if you are in a time warp with all the horse drawn wagons and people with the costumes they all wear. Good luck on whichever trip you decide on.

I went there for a class trip a long time ago...and we did the factory and the park the same day (the factory is at the park entrance). Nothing super fantabulous...it's exactly what is says...a factory...nothing "charlie and the chocolate factory".... A big plus is that they give you hershey kisses at the end...

I've been there. It's a dark ride. It's cute. I would recommend going in the summer. Go to Hersheypark and do the chocolate factory as a side trip.

Haven't been to the one in Hersey Pennsylvania, but did go to the old one in Oakdale, California. Loved it! It was very interesting and I loved the chocolate fresh off the machines. The one in Oakdale doesn't do tours anymore, but the activities in Hersey, PA would make it a fun outing for the whole family - if you love chocolate anyway.

We go there (Hershey) every year. It is very cool inside the factory, but especially fun to visit the park.
