So it would suit God better to let children starve in homes without proper care than to be adopted? You need to gather the proper information before you start your fanatical preaching.

The correct quote: They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor Job 24:9 (not sure where the extra words in your quote came from, I checked many different translations and none had them in that or any surrounding verse)... is speaking of wicked men who kidnap children for use as slaves. It is a disparaging comment on kidnapping and slavery, having nothing to do with legal adoption.

The Bible actually looks upon adoption very favorably for both birthparents and adoptive parents and shows many blessings for the children adopted. Moses was adopted after his birthmother sent him away in a basket, because she loved him very much and wanted to protect him. He went on to be a strong and blessed man. Esther (from the book of Esther) was also adopted after her parents died and she was orphaned. She went on to lead a good life with her adopted family and later became a Queen.

Jesus could also be seen as being adopted as Joseph was not his birth father (born of virgin both from God), but Joseph took him in and raised Him as his own.

I know for sure the Bible says abortion is wrong. It is the ending of a life, therefore murder, which is always wrong (see the Ten Commandments).

As far as adoption.. I know a Christian minister who has adopted two children as infants in the last five years. I can't imagine that a minister would do that if it wasnt accepted in the Bible.

Lovely. I love you holier than thou types. It is only the ignorant that take the bible for literal truth. I would challenge you to find one minister/pastor/vicar/priest, whatever, that condemns adoption. Newsflash, you won't find one.

I think it was something like - Father Abraham, had 7 sons, 7 sons, had father Abraham.
I think he had a few wifes too. A lot of them did, cause they thought it was the wife who couldnt get pregnant, but it was them. Typical.

yes.. i've always found it much more "christian" to leave a homeless one on the streets instead of giving it a warm, loving home...
