Yes...I am so frustrated! I work a lot of hours at a job that uses uniforms..so when it's time to go out..I have nothing I feel good about to put on, heck, I'm not even sure what looks good on me or how to shop for it! Is there a service that I could use/contact to help me clean out my closet and help my put together quality, versatile good looking outfits? Actually, I'm open to any and all ideas....Thanks!

The first step is realizing that you have a problem!

Get rid of all the old. You can just give it away, or if you could use a little extra money to start your new wardrobe, sell the old stuff on eBay. you may not get much for it, but every little bit helps.

In the US most major department stores have a personal shopping/style consultant service. Nordstrom is one that comes to mind. The service is free, but they do expect you to buy something.

If you don't have much of a budget, I find the show "What Not to Wear" to be very helpful and full of useful ideas.

The George line at Walmart is reasonably good quality and is the latest styles. They are an inexpensive way to update your wardrobe. Just take the time to go and try them on. Get a few basic pieces and then go out every pay day with something from that grouping on and pick out a piece or two from any store that will go with it.
That's what I did. I just went through my closet myself and anything I hadn't worn in a year or that didn't fit or that I didn't like anymore, I tossed out. Then I went shopping with a friend and got some basics from the George line. The best thing is that no matter what size or shape you are, you will find something in their line that fits well and looks good on you at a price you can afford.

Rules for cleaning out closet:
1. dont throw everything out at once
2. only throw out stained, ripped clothg. the rest put in bags and save somewhere. like ur basement.
3. replace as you buy. like if u bought a pair of jeans. get rid of one pair u already own. im not sure how old u are but if ur 27&up go to talbots. they really help. my mom goes their. if ur younger ask your friends for help. they know you the best and will be able to help u a lot more than i can.

If you have a Ross or Bells, they have some really nice clothes for pretty cheap, But walmart is cool too. Even though walmart is getting pretty expensive now too, but sometimes you just cant win. Target is a really good palce to shop at too.
And depending on what size you wear, I'll take your old clothes! haha jk

If you have some money to spend you could hire a personal fashion consultant. I hear they do a pretty good job.
