It feels like there just arent enough hours in the day to study everything and be able to keep my sanity and health up. I want to just stop working and just do school but my mom doesnt make enough to just pay for my school and support me. What can I do?? I need a job where I can make enough money to maintain myself but where I dont need to put in so many hours. For those who did it how did you do it? For those who just went to school how did you take care of your financial issues like tuition and stuff like that?? I need some serious help guys. I'm trying to be a doctor and if I'm struggling now just working on my junior yr how am I going to get to be a doctor???? HELP HELP HELP!

It takes a lot of perserverence, but hang in there. I went to a junior college for 4 years before transferring to a state university for another 2 years, working the whole time. But it was relatively cheap, and I graduated debt-free. I waited another decade before going back to grad school to get my MBA - my employer picked up about 2/3 of the cost, which totaled about $40,000.

One thing I can tell you about it - the harder the experience, the more you appreciate the accomplishment. It wasn't easy for me, but I truly believe that if it was, it wouldn't be as significant.

I'd recommend that you first concentrate on getting through undergrad. Get your admission to med school approved, but ask for a deferment so that maybe you can work full time for a year between undergrad and med school. This might be enough to get you over the hump. It's tough - I've been there. But you can do whatever you put your mind to. Good luck.

If you're going to be a doctor and have the grades now take out a loan and get to studying. The interest you pay on your loan is tax deductable and as long as you are in school you don't have to pay the money back. Just be sure to get the grades. If you already have loans out then try and get a job on campus to cut down on travel time. If your a dedicated and determined person your education will pay for it self, student loans and then some during your life.
