This may sound really weird to you, but I know a way to get rid of that wart for good (my ex is a nurse). Buy duct tape...cut a piece to fit over the wart...every 3 days replace the duct tape with a fresh piece and you'll see within a week to ten days that the duct tape will remove the wart from the root and 9 times out of 10, the wart never returns. Just finished a great experience with apple cider vinegar last night. My daughter had a wart on two of her fingers. We tried the home freeze-off kit a few times, but it didn't work. Over Spring Break, my wife soaked a bit of cotton in apple cider vinegar, placed the cotton on the wart, and then held it in place with a bandaid. We changed the soaked cotton and bandaid each day, but left it on 24 hours per day.
Both warts started to turn black within a few days. Last night we were able to pop them off her fingers. They literally left little divots in my daughter's fingers where the warts had been. The warts probably would have come off on their own in another week or so, but we weren't quite that patient. And the way they came off suggests they were done for anyway.
Absolutely amazing how quickly we were able to get a noticeable result (the warts turning black) and then were able to remove them. Obviously we can't speak to the long-term effectiveness of this remedy, but I'd be very surprised if those warts aren't gone for good.
Apple cider vinegar is definitely worth trying because it is cheap, fast, and effective (at least for us!).
