Hello! I have a 93 toyota camry with a butt load of miles on it. We've had some problems with it power surging but it seems to be intermitent. We checked many things and finally replaced the fuel filter again and it seemed to fix the problem. We also had a family member tell us that our fuel injectors were very dirty and to run a couple of bottles of this stuff in the gas tank to clean them up. Anyways we did that things seemed to be going well then we let the gas get down to just above empty and filled it and it started power surging again. This is the second time this has happened so closely to after we filled up on an almost empty tank. Does anyone think I might have sediment in the bottom of my tank that is causing this and if so is there any way to get rid of it? Also since its doing it again would we need to replace the fuel filter again even though we just put a new one in last month? Thanks to all who answer!

Try not to let your car run dry. it just clogs the fuel filter. Try running a tank of premium in it ad never let your tank go less then a 1/4 tank. It could be dirty plugs. When was the last tune-up and oil change?

If you have crud in the tank you need to remove the tank and clean it out. You're probably stirring up sediment whenever you fill it. You're probably due for a new fuel pump too if it's been passing a lot of dirt.
I can never believe how many dimwits think running the fuel level down causes you to suck up crud from the bottom of the tank. Where do they think the pickup usually gets it's fuel from? It doesn't float you know. It's always sucking off the bottom.

Dear Sara,I not sure if your seeing any warning lites on your dash, but you may want to have your sensors read .It could be your oxygen sensor witch is usually located under your car on the exhaust system.Expecially with those high miles.
