A couple months back my husband entered a contest to win a car(one of those things you see in the middle of the mall type of thing) and he got a call yesterday that he was a finalist to win the car or $25,000. All that we have to do is go take a tour of a timeshare and then we get two keys and we have to see what we win. We are guaranteed to win atleast two prices (a flat screen tv, $5,000, etc) Now I think this is a huge scam. You don't get something for nothing. I mean I know we have to sit through the whole tour and stuff, but still it hardly seems worth it for them. But my husband says we should go. So has anyone actually done one of these and gotten something? I'm afriad it'll be like the Family Guy episode and we'll be stuck with the mystery box.

I toured the "Lost Valley Lake Resort" here in Missouri similar to I'm sure the Timeshare your talking about. I went to see the Resort since it was in my back yard - nearby. After the 90 minute tour and saying NO I prefer not to buy I did receive prizes not quite on that scale but I seem to remember getting 20-30 pounds of Beef Steak, $ 20-$ 40 Dollars Cash and a choice which I took a Telephone Answering Machine.

I'd go if you've never been thru these type resorts its interesting to see the salesperson preform and the Resort. At some point they may ask you to show a valid Major Credit Card to see that you are Qualified to purchase.

Myself I'd shay away from purchasing a timeshare as the resale is not always so easy and value on a resale is like 10% of original purchase price. Most the time.

Standard timeshare scam. Flat screen tv will probably be a 5 inch. Go only if you have no life and some interest in being bored to death and a captive audience for a day

Braeburn Colony... run away. Run AWAY! drugs, roaches, no longer the terrific component of city. That section is ghetto-lite. Dude, you're no longer likely to discover a first rate 2 mattress room in a sturdy component of city for something below $800 a month. As for interracial couples, you 2 does not even advance an eyebrow until one in each and every of you became a Klingon and you wore the brow and all. quite some jobs right here, too. Houston became those days rated the #one million city interior the US for employment and expenses of residing. unlike different aspects of the rustic, we are nonetheless starting to be somewhat healthily. Houston is the ability capital, and we've extensive scientific and centers industries as nicely.

If you go, be prepared to deal with at least 2 or 3 levels of sales pressure before you get your "prize". I know people who went to offers like that. After the sales pitch they take you into another room and high pressure you, then give you to another guy to try to pressure you some more. You will REALLY have to stick to your guns to get out of there without buying something.
