well, why are you afraid to tell him about it anyway? Will he object to you going to disneyland? Just tell him what you are doing and do it, if he is worried about not having him on his birthday then just set a day for him to have his son to do his own birthday thing with him. If you have custody of your son, he cant really do anything about you going to Disneyland anyway right?

Ask his father to go with you for the day and see if he is open to it... If he does not want to go with you then take your son and have fun and enjoy Disney land with him for the whole day! good luck to you and have fun and enjoy this special and fun time with your son and be sure to take lots of pictures and make lots of memories together for the both of you. Yes you should tell him what you have planned and you should invite him to come with:) happy Birthday to your son by the way and here comes a BIG birthday hug to such a BIG boy!

Why call him if he doesn't care enough to call and check on his children? I wouldn't go out of my way for someone with little respect for you and your children. Why do you take your son to his house on his day off? He should be coming around you. You are doing too much and you need to stop. You also need to take him to court for child support.

tell him......he has a right to know. think about it, the only reason you aren't going to tell him is because of you....dont ruin your son's day by causing problems with his father.

you should definately take the kids... who cares what he thinks. youre their sole provider. yea he gives you money but thats to support the child if he elects not to spend time with the child you do whats best for the baby and take him for his bday. its not like he had anything planned for the baby right? dont hold off on your kids for his sake.
