This is kind of a trick question. If you are unaware of the agenda witch we ALL ARE. How can we possible answer with any certainty? With our limited knowledge all we can do is digress to less relevant issues like how are we going to get out? I just want to put my two cents in. We are not at war for any publicly know reason. If you think you know why we are at war, the chances are you are ignorant beyond your years. What you know is what your told - disinformation, in other words lies.

Interesting question.

Here's a response from another forum, he sums it up pretty well.

"The question of "does the end justify the means" is not answerable in most circumstances, and is, therefore, outside the realm of morality. It is not answerable because the definitions of "ends" is very fuzzy (What are the ends of the war in Iraq? Who's ends? When?) and the cost of the means is not quantifiable (How much is a life worth? How much is freedom worth?). Furthermore, it is impossible to ask people to make decisions on the morality of acts based on highly uncertain future events."

You're wrong though to marginalize the reasons we are told by the administration. There may be more truth in what we're told than you realize. If you're a pessimist and believe in conspiracy theories, then of course it's all lies.

I prefer realism and consider myself an optimist. You know the news you're fed from the MSM is going to be what sells newspapers. I don't think that the new york times is much different than the weekly world news. Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating a little... But you get my point? They only care about the bottom line, making money. Freedom of Iraqi's, success for the US, they don't care.

You believe that the war is a lie and a mistake? I agree that most of the information out there is disinformation, but I'm not so cynical to think that the US government is actively, purposefully lying to us day in and day out.

Lets see:

Ending slavery
Ending Nazi Germany
Stopping the Japanese empire
Liberating the Kuwaiti people
Keeping South Korea free
Creating the United States
Suppressing the Barbary pirates
Stopping the genocide in Kosovo

Do you really think that none of these justified the means?

Well said. The reasons for war with Iraq that the administration posed don't make sense. Many cling to an opinion thrown out on either side. My opinion is that Bush wanted to take over Iraq to get an American foothold in the Middle East, similarly how we did with Japan in WW2 -- and now look what great allies they are.

Okay....
Now, here's my two-cents worth:

Invading Afghanistan was justified, based on credible intelligence that Osama bin Laden was hanging out with his Taliban homies.

However, President Bush couldn't leave well enough alone and had to go raid Iraq.

The reasons for invading that country and the pitiful resources (i.e., fewer troops than were requested, lack of body armor & support, to name a few) have not justified the war in terms of either "ends" or "means".

And now we're bracing ourselves for a renewed assualt in Afghanistan because we've lost sight of the original objective...that being to capture bin Ladin and wipe out the terrorist organization.

Whats more, the cost of the war is unbelievably high.
And weren't we suppose to tap into the Iraqi oil wealth to pay for this boondoggle?

Now, as we start the fifth year of this debacle, we're not able to justify any of it.

you will possibly would desire to make sparkling which conflict, or strikes interior of one for relevance. working example, did the ends justify the ability on the top of world conflict 2, while atom bombs (ability) have been used to deliver the conflict to an intensive (ends).

all war is someone else's adgenda.
noone ever wins, everyone looses except maybe the Rockefellers and the steel mill owners and WMD manufacturers.
The rest of the world suffers dies and is permantly brain damaged because of a few people's greed and total disregard for human life.
Blessed be the Hebrews for bringing this to peoples attention.
ALL LIFE HAS VALUE.
If you beleive otherwise then you are a liar.
WE ARE ALL RELATED, though some are disowned due to their defiance.
