That is the perfect example of hypocrisy,
If this is right for the nuns to cover themselves then why its not right for Muslims to do whatever they want to, we give so much respect to nuns and we should but why you people can not give the same respect to Muslim girls who want to cover their head or faces?? why its a big deal?? This won't stop us to do what we want to do, we feel more comfortable when we hide ourselves from the lustful looks of others, i don't understand how come some western people don't feel bad at all when people on street stare and pass comments on their wives, sisters and even mothers INVITING beauty. May be that is in the culture of those people.. if exposing is not consider harmful then why covering is??

I don't agree with the ban. It is an interference with ones religion.
I must say though, that a nuns veil doesn't obscure her face. The burka covers it completely to the point that one can't tell even the gender of the wearer... The other types of face coverings usually only leave the eyes visible. Again, unable to always tell the gender.
I think this world needs to learn to respect each other and their differences. Religion has been the cause of most of the wars throughout history. If each religion agreed that the others worship the same diety and the differences after that shouldn't matter, it would be more peaceful.
Doubt if that will ever happen..each religion thinks they are the only "true" religion and the only one that matters.

Nuns don't wear veils that cover their faces, that hide their identities. The habits nuns wear are not veils, nor would most rational people consider them veils.

Europe is very anti-Islamic. "Veil" is a term used for hijab, or headscarf. Niqaab is the item that covers the face. France banned both.

Why can noone figure out that Europe, especially Great Britian is the reason for the plague upon the Earth?
This country has single handedly destroyed Africa, Israel, the Arab countries, the Native Americans and tried to destroy America.

Banning of veils will generate violence .Christians are allowed to perform their religious rituals but Muslims don't have the same rights .Why does a human have to fight to get his right back .when man has his rights and justice is applied on all nations equally I think all of us 'humans' from different origins and roots will live peacefully on our precious planet 'Earth' which we all came from.

A hijab (head Scarf) and A habit (nun hat) are pretty much the same thing, they only cover the hair. Some European nations have banned the Hijab, however habits are still acceptable. It is a double standard.
