I love the pictures on devinatart.com. I want to use on of the animated pics for my myspace picture. But I don't know if I can do this. I don't see a copyright logo on the pic but I still don't know if I can do this.

I did I don't know if it's legal or not. I have a deviant art picture for default pic on myspace.

just because you don't see a copyright logo on a picture, doesn't mean its not. have you ever seen a copyright logo on a picasso?
anyway, if you do use it, be sure to LINK directly to the artists' site, and also CREDIT the artist on your page.

It doesn't need a copyright logo...it is already copyrighted by the artist. If the artist doesn't give you permission, don't just take it...
Most times they will let you if you ask...but you better ask!...

When in doubt ask. If I were you I would comment that I like the artwork and would like permission to use it. I then would explain how I would use it. I would also post a link so that if others decide they like it and want to use it also then they can click on the provided link to get permission from the same source that I did.

i would guess the right thing to do would be to ask the author of the picture, chances are they wont mind.
