NO. It's fun to think they would for imagination purposes and especially movies, books, blogs, etc. but computers work on commands. Programs work on a series of ones and zeros. So although they can do a lot, they can't think for themselves completely.

You really must read all the SF novels of the late author and scientist Isac Asimov. "I Robot" is an example. He was far ahead on this issue.

If you mean be self correcting and be able to plan ahead for their user's needs, yes. If you mean they can learn new things and adapt their programming, that is very doubtful.

At least then the computer would know it's owner shouldn't be using it.

i don't think people will think for themselves. so there's no chance for computers.
