"so much more cuter" - is this wrong?

It is incorrect because you have used two different comparatives. Both "more" and the "er" prefix are considered comparatives (similar to "most" and "est" prefixes which are superlatives). You may say "so much more cute" or "so much cuter."

It's redundancy--you can have "cuter" or "more cute"--actually, it'd be better to say "so much cuter" since "more cute" isn't standard.

you don't need more in that fragment when you've added an r to cute, or you can drop the r and leave more your choice.

when one adds -er, it's the same as saying more. therefore, you can't have both. you could say so much more cute, or so much cuter.
