My lil' girl had my ipod nano in her pants pocket
and I washed and dried them.
Now my ipod has a sad face with two x's for eyes..

SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IT'S NOT THE END!!

NO, NOT LIKE THIS!!!

I remember purchasing some type of warranty
when I bought the nano at Best Buy..
but I honestly have no idea where the receipt is right now.
If anyone knows if there's still hope for my love affair with
my nano, please fill me in or someone is selling some
lemonaide for mommy's new ipod!

well i told you this would happen but you didn't listen.Unfortunately any warranty you have for your nano does not cover water damage so you're out of gas sorry.

P.S It's spelled lemonade not lemonaide =p

I'd say take it back to Best Buy...explain you can't find the receipt, and mention that you'd just like to exchange it. I find most the time they go ahead and do it for an exchange. Where things get sticky is when someone asks for cash back or credit without a receipt. I had the same thing happen (with a different item)...I took it back to Sam's Club and they exchanged it without hassle.

Very likely they will have records on computer showing your purchase.

If they quibble about it missing the box it came in...and I see that happen way too often...suggest they take your old one, put it in the new box so they can get their credit from Apple, and you take just the new ipod home.

If you bought it with a credit card at best buy there's a good chance they can look up your receipt for you and will honor the warranty, but I'm not sure if washing it would be covered unless it's accidental protection.

Other then that your best chance is to let the thing dry out. If you can find instructions on line on how to take it apart and you feel you can get it back together do that. It will give it a lot better chance of drying out.

Take it back to Best Buy anyway. They will have a record of the purchase. also if you used a credit card you can get it from your old credit card statements.

By the way you broke the Ipod, not your daughter!
