Need help entering master code for Sims 2 xbox.?

Question

I have all the codes, what I don't know is what the difference is between R, L, left, right, etc. I have tried everyway I can imagine and nothing happens. Are the triggers the r and l or is the directional pad l and r? Just a basic lesson would help. Thanks!!

R= right trigger
L= left trigger
up= up button on Directional Pad
down= down button on D-Pad
right= right button on D-Pad
left= left button on D-Pad
white= white button below ABXY
black= black " " "
X= X
Y =Y
A= A
B= B

*Always use the D-Pad(directional pad) when inputting up,down,left,right, The analog (joy/thumbstick)is sloppy, also, you have to execute the button combos quickly or it wont work, so if you're pushing the right buttons, but doing it slowly, they won't work.

just practice the moves a few times then try it for real, if you practice, you dont have to worry if it doesn't work

start up your sport up and shipment up your Sim relatives. Hit the cheat for the gnome first. once he pops up, enter the different codes. The left and proper (LB and RB) bumper buttons replaced the white and black ones.
