Well I think you can get cable or DSL, I had the same thoughts when I moved to my dream home located out in the sticks so far that the only person that ever is seen on my road is the mail man and that is only when I have mail, I am located 18 miles from the nearest city and located in an area that is 80% Amish so there really isn't a lot of call for the Internet out here. But much to my surprise I am able to get cable and DSL, here, and all they needed to do is put a booster on my phone line to get the speed up to regulations but here there was no extra cost for it.
I do have outages during storms from time to time but are able to live with, actually the power goes out more than the Internet.
So don't give up! Dig deep and ask a lot of questions and you will be surprised. However I had satellite once and would never get it again, it was the worst service I ever had.

uhhh we used to use netzero, earthlink, also Altel is getting into the business too check with them they might be able to do it. Or you can go satelitte which is worse in my opinion cuz you need a sky thats pretty much always clear, if frequent storms pass by you'll be paying so much a month and half of the time you want to surf the net is being used up by the storm's interference. Wildblue is a satelitte group.

You still have options...
Check for local Wireless Internet providers (either through Cell companies or others) and you have Satallite like DirectPC. Give those a strong look before going back to dial-up.

I used Juno at http://www.juno.com or their sister company http://www.netzero.com both are good but when used on the same system the software will conflict with each other. you could also try PeoplePC Inc. Or try Wal~Mart's isp (i found them to have a very reliable connection sever) and I wish you the best of luck on that and maybe on your next move you can comeback to broadband.

I used Earthlink and was very happy with. We did just get DSL and I don't think I would trade but if I had to well I would go with Earthlink but that is just my opinion.
