My husband is an airline pilot who spends alot of time in the Middle East and Europe. I was sorting his foriegn coins and we couldn't figure out where these came from. On one side there are pictures of fish with the initial KR, the other side they have various symbols and say Tiu Kronur Island or Ein Krona Island.

It comes from Iceland. Krona (crown) is the currency of Iceland and it's related with other Nordic Currencies.

as was said, island = iceland
tiu kronur = 10 kronors (crowns)
ein = 1 I'm guessing, I took swedish and one is ett in swedish...
