I just came to know today that I am pregnant. My first day of last menstrual period was Feb.14, when I spoke to nurse in the hospital this morning she said I am 4weeks pregnant. Is it 4weeks or 5weeks?

I have first appointment with my doctor on April13, but
I have few questions,

1. I have Acne on my face and I have been using Acne cream on my face everyday. Should I stop using it now? I forgot to tell the nurse that I have been using this medication.

2. Should I not do any cleaning, like cleaning toilets, kitchen .... with chemicals ?

3. I have the habit of moving on various sides of the bed while sleeping in the night. And also I put my legs and hands on my hubby and sleep, someone told be that I should change my sleeping habits. Is that so?

I'll also talk to doctor also to clarify all these questions.

Aprreciate your help

First of all congatulations!! Yes you are 4 weeks pregnant. You should call up the nurse again and ask her about the acne medication. Some are ok while some arent. You can still clean with chemicals but be sure that when you do you are in a WELL VENTALATED area. You dont need to change your sleeping habits, as the months go on just find whats comfortable for you (which will probably be your side, which is where the baby gets the best blood flow anyways.) You shouldnt lie on your back for long periods of time either as it restricts blood flow to the baby.

1. You are probably fine with the acne cream you are using but talk to your doctor about it to be safe. If anything plain old soap and water will do the trick while you are pregnant.

2. To be safe use gloves while cleaning. Beware of the fumes because you are going to be natious so you will want to keep your cleaning area well ventilated.

3. For right now you are going to be able to sleep comfortably. As your belly grows it will be almost impossible to sleep on your stomach. If you do sleep on your side, sleep on your left side. You could even use your husband as a sort of prop to help keep you on your left side. Hey if you aren't going to be able to sleep, why should he. :)

Have fun with your doctor's visits. I hope I have helped some...I feel I know a little about this since I am due to have my first child MONDAY!

I don't think acne medication will harm you or your baby in any way, but the chemicals will try to stay away from any cleaning chemicals and you shouldn't dye your hair till at least after your 1st trimester try not to get your nails done because of the smell. when you sleep just try not to lay on your stomach . you may already know this but no heavy lifting, running or jumping if you work out no more sit ups pushups. In a nutshell just take it easy and eat healthy (low salt and sugar).
Take Care and Good Luck!!!

Your face cream is fine. Regular cleaning is fine. Stay way from oven cleaners that burn. Don't mix chemicals. Bleach, ammonia, etc. Cleaning is good. You'll go through spurts of wanting stuff clean. At least I did.

honestly alcohol...even the tiniest quantities may have extremely undesirable outcomes on your turning out to be infant. as a lot as plausible, attempt to stay faraway from parts with a lot of fumes (structure, salons...). start up taking your folic acid pills because those will shrink the probabilities that your infant may have topics. As on your vacation, you're sturdy up until eventually 30 weeks.
