Is my mom right in making me wear a bra?
I'm 13, don't like bras that much. But since I'n a C cup, my mom makes me wear one everyday, it's a kind of rule at home. She's nice, I know she wants my best and it's out of live, but I have no say on this, I really have to wear one and no use complaining. When i complain she just says it's for my best, she loves me and worries about me. And my bras must have her approval, they must give good support and cover my breasts. Depending on my shirt or tank top I sometimes can wear a strapless bra, braless no way. When I tell her some of my friends don't wear a bra, she just says they are not her daughters, but I am and it's about me she has to worry.
Ok, she treats me with much love, but does'nt back off at her bras law. Once I disobeyed, went out braless and she found out. I was forgiven but had to promise I wouldn't do it again, and I dont breal promises, specially to my parents. Seems I have no choice other but wearing my bras.

Honey...you are blessed. A C cup at 13 is pretty large and wearing a bra will stop them from being saggy when you are older. Plus if you wander around without them for too long you might have back problems. And if you need to run to catch a bus or something, you might attract unwanted attention. So listen to your mom....she's right and she has your best intrest at heart.

I hate bra's too, and any kind of restrictive clothing, but I'm lucky I'm an AA so I really don't need one even when running or doing sports. Nothing much bounces, no one has ever given me looks or commented, and while I'm 38 now nothing has started to sag; there's just nothing there to sag! With a C cup I guess you do need one, at least in public, but it may not be as bad to go braless at home. See source for a long article on what support does and some medical quotes stating it isn't harmful, but even healthy, to go braless sometimes even if you have big ones.

As quite a few people have already pointed out here, bras can serve a very useful purpose—supporting your breasts so that they don't sag when you get older. However, they can also be very uncomfortable and irritating, not to mention that they don't look very flattering under t-shirts, etc.
Having said that, it sounds to me like your mother is a little too involved in your business. It makes sense that she is concerned for you—if you're 13, "Cooper's droop" is not really something that would occur to you to worry about. However, we're talking about a process that is cumulative, over many years: It's not going to make any difference if you don't wear a bra some days (let alone every minute of every day.)
Is your mom right? No. Does that change anything? Afraid not.
The best advice I can think to give you is try to find some bras that are as comfortable as possible. Sorry, kiddo.

Wear the bra. You will thank your mom when you're older and your breasts are still nice and high. Also, going braless can start to hurt after a while. If you don't like the feel of an underwire, you can use a light sports bra. They're very comfortable.

First, good for you that you understand your mother is saying these things out of love!
But....well, you'll get alot more boyfriends if you don't wear a bra. Just take it off when you are around a boy you like, and put it back on before you see your Mom.. Also, it is a big lie that bras help you from getting saggy. Everyone gets saggy when they are older, and will need a bra to hold them up. Wearing a bra when you are young doesn't change that. They are old and jealous that you are young and beautiful and don't need a bra to hold yours up.

I was 13 and a C cup too. Trust me the bra is necessary... can imagine running when you aren't wearing one?! you might take out the people next to you. Try a sports bra they are generally more comfortable for larger breasts but at 13 and large chested you really do need to wear one. Guys will have a hard enough time not looking at your chest when you wear a bra let alone if you don't.

in case your that youthful, and your breasts are that tremendous, you actually favor each of the assist you'll get. i'm 24 years old and slightly filling out a B cup. you may have back soreness, no count number what style of bra you position on. Are they uncomfortable to positioned on? or basically kinda grotesque searching? in case you would possibly want to positioned on the little cotton preparation bras (no longer activities bras) you may be poking out (nipples) and probably tearing the seams of the bra aside. i'm no longer retaining your fat, or in spite of, yet you've huge boobs, lady, they favor help, and they favor to be held close to for your body.

At a C cup you need a bra, but you could ask you mom to lighten up a little and let you pick your own. Tra a sports bra, they hold good and usually aren't too tight.

Ok, if you were my daughter I'd expect the same thing. You don't want those things bouncing all over the place! LOL Seriously, you can tell if someone is not wearing a bra and it doesn't look good. She may want you to look nice and proper. If you don't wear bras you could get saggy breasts [or at least that's what I was told when I was young] and you don't want that. You need to be wearing a bra, it looks nicer. You don't want all these strange men watching them bouncing all over the place!!!

Yes she is right! If you go braless all the time you will start to sag in due time as you get older. Especially when you have children it is not a good idea to go without one!
